Acts for the Invisible

2021 | 19 min | Documentary

Alistair Trung is one of Australia’s most celebrated fashion designers known for his archetypal, poetic clothing. When his life partner dies, Alistair grapples with the meaning of the word ‘grief’ and seeks to find his own personal definition. While he’s grieving, Australia experiences some of the most severe bushfires in history. Alistair is drawn to the ravaged landscape and responds to the devastation through creativity; collecting burnt mementos from the landscape to turn into an offering — an Act for the Invisible.
